  1. Can you tell us a little bit about yourself and your background?

    My name is Anton (Ash), I am a former teacher and now HR professional across a variety of industries.

  2. How did you first get into trading, and how long have you been involved in the markets?

    To be honest I just saw a lot of people online talking about making money from their phones and thought I would give it a try. I would say I have been trading on and off for the last 3-4 years.

  3. What does your trading plan look like, and how has it contributed to your success?

    My plan has changed over the years but I guess the most important thing I try and do is having a set daily profit and loss and stick to it. Sometimes I think people rush ahead and are so eager for the big payout that they chase the money. Slow and steady typically always wins the race.

  4. How many accounts did you blow before you finally started to see that consistency?

    Oh gosh, maybe 2 or 3. I think the key thing is to be clear on the rules which have changed over time and I guess as a trader you have to be adaptable to move with the markets and times.

  5. Could you share a challenge you faced in your trading journey and how you overcame it?

    There have been moments when I have been so desperate for achieving success on my account because I have certain financial commitment that it has caused me to act with emotion over logic. I have had to take moments to reflect on the bigger picture, adjust the plan and go again. When I lead with emotion the outcome typically means a loss.

  6. How do you approach risk management, and how has it shaped your results?

    My style is a bit different to many others. For me I try to set an amount of what I want to earn in a day and stick to it. This can be achieved in a matter of minutes or it could be across several hours in the day: equally if the trading day goes against me I find sticking to a max loss limit for the day is always better than trying to chase the money.

  7. Looking back, what has been a key turning point in your trading career?

    The biggest turning point for me I feel was when I had exercised an offer to have two trading accounts. I thought that although they were both my accounts that they were treated as separate entities. That being said not understanding the rules around drawdowns and how it works across accounts resulted in me being refused payouts across both my profitable accounts. Although this was a very negative moment and time I had to take the fact that I technically had made a mistake and had to learn from it. After that I think I had 3 or 4 successive payouts.

  8. What do you believe helped you become a consistent trader?

    I have mentioned it before. Not leading with emotion. This is probably the hardest thing to manage as naturally you want to be successful. Set clear boundaries and stick to them, be patient and follow the rules.

  9. What mindset or qualities do you feel give you an edge as a trader?

    This is a challenging question but what I would say is focus on your why. For me trading allows me to provide for myself and my family at a time when so much is uncertain in the world. The freedom to be able to trade anywhere, anytime for me gives me the best comfort and providing for my family is always number one. The thought of them keep me grounded and focused.

  10. How has trading with Traderscale compared to trading on your own?

    It’s vastly different. Having access to additional capital that if you were to put into an account by yourself would take a very long time to become profitable has a great impact. Proving that you can be trusted and then be successful on the back end gives both you as a trader confidence and Traderscale as a supplier comfort.

  11. How long have you been with Traderscale?

    I would say I have been on and off with Traderscale for the last 2 plus years.

  12. What advice would you give to someone just starting out with us?

    Firstly read the rules. If you are unsure about anything read the FAQs and or reach out to the team because they are very helpful. Do not rush. Slow but steady wins the race.
